Preparation

    1. For the dough, mix the flour and sugar, add the butter in cubes and the egg and quickly knead everything into a smooth dough. Leave to cool for about half an hour. For the icing, stir all the ingredients in a bowl until smooth.
    2. Peel the apples and cut them into slices. Sprinkle with lemon juice to prevent the apples from turning brown. Press the dough into a springform pan (Ø 26 cm), pull up a rim about thumb-high and place the apple slices on top like roof tiles.
    3. Spread the icing evenly over the top and place the apple slices on top like roof tiles. Bake in a preheated oven at 175 °C top/bottom for about 30-35 minutes until it is golden brown and the icing is solid.

    Allow to cool completely in the tin, then remove - and enjoy!
